After processing sugarcane, the crushed stalks are typically discarded or incinerated. However, we work directly with manufacturers who transform this byproduct into a pulp, which is then used to create our plates and bowls. This effectively elevates sugarcane to the status of a reclaimed material.

Our sugarcane-based tableware is heavy-duty, withstanding temperatures of up to 180°F, and is fully compostable. By choosing our sugarcane plates, you can be assured that no virgin forests were cleared to produce paper plates.

Composting Expectations and Responsibilities

All of our products are certified to decompose as promised. However, to ensure complete decomposition, it is crucial to find a composter capable of properly breaking down your single-use disposables, thereby returning their nutrients to the earth. Unless a product is certified for home composting, it should not be placed in your personal composting bin.

Landfills are not designed to break down waste but rather to contain it, often in an environment that lacks the oxygen necessary for even a banana peel to decompose. Fortunately, there are many commercial and residential composting services across the United States that can properly process your compostable waste. 100% Compostable, Heavy-Duty Cutlery

Our compostable cutlery, made from non-GMO cornstarch, is 7 inches in length for added comfort and sturdiness during use. Each pack contains 50 forks, 50 knives, and 50 spoons, all in an attractive black color.

Our cPLA (compostable Polylactic Acid) cutlery is BPI certified to meet the ASTM D6400 and EN13432 standards, ensuring it will decompose in less than 180 days in a commercial composting facility. Additionally, our products are BPA-free and heat-resistant up to 180 degrees.
